Working with Buick cluster files

Most of the Buick coverage is not in the cluster at all. The Encore, Envision, Excelle, GL8, Regal, Verano and Velite 5 are all listed as BCM entries on 24C32 memory — the data lives in the body control module, so that is the unit that comes off the car and onto the bench. Only the Rendezvous (95020) and one generic Buick entry (95010) are cluster-side.

That distinction is worth checking before you start pulling a dashboard apart. The list above names the module for every BCM entry.

XEEPROM works on the dump, not the hardware. Read the memory with your own programmer, upload the file, and the recalculated binary comes back from the server. Clean files only, without encryption or proprietary headers.

Your Buick model is not on the list?

Send us the dump. If the file can be worked out, our team adds the program and it goes live for everyone. Tell us the model and the memory type and we will come back to you.
