Working with BMW cluster files
BMW is the deepest coverage on XEEPROM and the most structured, because the memory tracks the chassis generation rather than the model. E-series clusters from the E39 through the E87 sit almost entirely on M35080. F-series moves to 35160, with the F20 through F35 range carrying either M35080 or M35160 depending on build. The newest G-series — G11, G30, X1 F48, X2 F39, X3 G01, X4 G02 — uses M35128WT. Find your chassis code first; the chip follows from it.
The oldest entries work differently. The E34 and E36 are listed by coder type rather than memory, and the Z3 and E36 exist in internal and external coder variants. The E39 SW13, X5 E53 and X3 internal SW 9-11 sit on 93-series memory instead.
